Rules and Guidelines

 

Competitors will speak in one round and 5 will be selected from each division to compete in the final. Two divisions are available for entry, Junior (Years 8 to 9) and Senior (Year 10). Competitors must deliver one prepared speech and one impromptu speech.


 


Prepared speech:

 

Each competitor will give one prepared speech on one of the 7 topics below. Junior students will speak for 3-4 minutes and senior students will speak for 4-5 minutes.

  5.  In God We Trust

  7. Sending the message

 


Impromptu speech:

 

Each competitor will give one impromptu speech on a topic given to them at their round, with 10 minutes to prepare. Junior students will speak for 1-2 minutes and Senior students will speak for 2-3 minutes.
